Our mission is to provide a trim cap solution that is safer, more durable and more efficient than current trim cap options available on the market. Developed by sign manufacturers with over 135 years of experience in the industry, SATcap is uniquely attuned to the needs of sign manufacturers. Our insight into the industry has aided in our creation of SATcap, resulting in a product that is more efficient, environmentally friendly, and ergonomic.

SATcap was created in collaboration with 3M and GemTrim™ Flex Trim Cap and is 3M certified and is UL and cUL recognized.

SATcap Solutions is a division of Exeter Image Holdings, LLC. Exeter has a demonstrated track record of successful investments in promising small cap companies within the specialty industrial and services sectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to wait to put the face on the channel letter?

The letter face can be handled and applied to a channel letter immediately after applying SATcap.

Will SATcap have any adverse reactions to face decoration; paint, vinyl, print?

The primer may mar face decoration, but if applied correctly to the edge of the face it will not come into contact with the decoration. SATcap has no adverse reactions to face decoration.

What if I mess up when applying SATcap to the face?

SATcap can be adjusted as long as the pressure has not been applied. If the SATcap has had the setting pressure applied, it will need to be removed and disposed, the face cleaned of the residual adhesive, and restart with a new piece of SATcap. You will not need to cut a new face.

What if I don’t use the primer?

The adhesive will not adhere correctly to the face and failure may occur.

What are the limitations of SATcap compared to glued on trim cap?

SATcap can be used in any application where glued on trim cap is used.

What is the shelf life of SATcap?

SATcap's shelf life is 24 months.

Is SATcap a UL recognized product? 

Yes, SATcap is UL and cUL recognized.

Is there a certain way I need to cut the plastic face?

No. All typical methods of cutting are acceptable; routing, shearing, laser cutting, sawing, etc.

Can I use my standard equipment?

SATcap works with standard notching and cutting hand tools and also works with the Easy Trimmer CNC notching machine.

What is the maximum temperature SATcap can be used?

The adhesive is rated up to 150°F.

What is the minimum temperature SATcap can be used?

The product has been tested down to -40°F.

What is the maximum recommended letter size?

The maximum recommended letter size is 25 square feet.
